Latest EMPRESS Embedded Database Available on BlueCat Embedded Linux 5.0

Beltsville, MD, April 19, 2004 - Empress Software and LynuxWorks™ announce immediate availability of EMPRESS Embedded Database V8.62 for LynuxWorks' BlueCat® Embedded Linux® 5.0, the industry's first commercially available embedded Linux technology based on the open source Linux 2.6 kernel. EMPRESS on BlueCat Linux is designed for high performance embedded systems applications requiring reliability, speed and scalability.
EMPRESS Embedded Database on BlueCat Linux is a full-featured database management system. Its lightning fast, small footprint, maintenance-free database engine has API's for C, C++, SQL, ODBC and JDBC.
