Empress Software Signs SWD Software for Distribution of
Embedded EMPRESS RDBMS in Russia

Beltsville, MD, November 13, 2003 - Empress Software, developers of EMPRESS, "The Embedded Real-Time Database", announces SWD Software Ltd. of St. Petersburg, Russia as an official Empress distributor for the Russian Federation. With 12 years of experience in marketing and supporting advanced solutions for embedded real time system manufacturers, SWD Software is well positioned to match Empress offerings to the sophisticated requirements of Russian customers.
SWD Software will now market and support all Empress products including EMPRESS RDBMS development systems, run-time licenses, application programming interfaces, database servers for ODBC, JDBC and replication and the EMPRESS real-time data collector.

Serge Savchenko, vice president channel sales for Empress Software, will participate as an invited speaker presenting EMPRESS RDBMS at the conference and will lead a workshop dedicated to migrating obsolete database technologies to the Empress Embedded Real-Time Database.
